Cayman’s carnival is known as Batabano. The event features both adult and family activities.
The Junior Parade and Family Fun Day is scheduled for Saturday 25th of April 2015. Events start at 1:00 p.m. at the Old Tower Building site in Georgetown. The parade, which features music, dance and colorful costumes, starts at 3:00 p.m.
The adult parade, scheduled for Saturday 2nd of May 2015, can be quite risque. Aside from the parade, there are several other events (on Saturday 2nd of May) which the whole family will enjoy, including “Art in the Heart” and a food festival.
Starting at noon, local artists and crafts vendors showcase their works in a village setting in Celebration Park. This event is scheduled from 12 noon until 6 p.m.
Around the corner, over 20 local vendors and chefs will serve up traditional island fare.
